Our 2017/2018 Student Council has been elected and the group is already suggesting some great ideas. The election process was very exciting; the candidates presented their speeches and the student body voted for their representatives. Mrs. Mulhall said that all the elections were very close.  Recently, the students were officially installed into their positions at a school Mass.

Being a student council representative is a very important job and each council member has a lot of responsibility. This year’s student council includes Cole Phelan, Joey Piekszaw (third grade), Raquel Figueroa, Gina Barry (fourth grade), Kate Cruess, Gigi Boucher (fifth grade), Kylie Healey, Devon Zapatka (sixth grade), Malakai Horton, Josaiah Pizarro, Gregory Stroehle (seventh grade).  Our officers, Sarah Griffith and Paul Clement (co-presidents), Amanda Martinez (secretary), and Carter Payne (treasurer). It should be an exciting year for our  SMMS Student Council!
